The Importance Of Rest When Studying

This is for those who need to catch their breath.

We often go full speed ahead, ticking off to do lists and adding to them every day.

If I asked you when was the last time you paused to take it all in….could you tell me? I mean really reflect.

The moment you even think about slowing down, guilt and shame creep in. All you can think about is the jobs you need to get done! In some ways, it makes us feel secure.

We tell ourselves that when we are constantly busy doing and in that constant doing state that we are achieving. The truth is…we end up feeling more overwhelmed if we are not careful.

This is a reminder to you all and I am saying this because it is too easy to forget ourselves and get caught up in the week. Communication is key at home…. I also attach a link to one of my meditations. More will be uploaded shortly. Some of my clients have been requesting bespoke meditation sessions. If you are interested please let me know.

Rest is crucial and is an accomplishment! It is what keeps us going. You also deserve it!

Yes the work needs to be done. The deadlines are still there. I know your mind is constantly juggling priorities but how do you expect to do the tasks well if your brain has had no relax mode?

Just for a moment I want you to sit down and let that jaw soften and your shoulders relax. Let go of the tightness. Take a deep breath in, and slowly exhale.

I encourage all of my clients to take time out of their day even if just for 30 mins. Not to actively do anything but just to sit in silence. It is moments when we give ourselves silence that we can gain clarity in more ways than one!

Some of you are very busy working students who are also studying complex material…if the correct methods are in place for your learning with the right structure and you are putting the hours in then you need to also carve some time out for you!

So pop the kettle on and have 10mins and be proud about it!

As always my kettle is always on and I am here if you need to reach out.
