We often feel guilty taking breaks when the time gets closer to revision. This is a sign that you are really fully in the flow of study and you are conscious of using the time you have left. Every step on the path is meaningful, and even one that seems to take us backward is a forward step in the sense that it is what we must do to move to the next level and having regular breaks is just as important as the solid hours you must put into these exams. Creating a good workable study plan at the beginning of the week helps with making sure you do have time for yourself, whether that be to see friends or just to have some self reflection time where you can relax, journal and simply chill. In addition to the intense learning hours you are putting in, we need rest for a time in order to fully integrate the new energies that have been liberated by our hard work. Before we know it, we will be spurred on to work toward the next level of our development, and this rest will make sense then as something we needed in order to continue. It is all about balance.
I work very closely with my students to develop a daily/weekly plan that works for you. It really is about balance and allowing yourself to grow and develop. Having a plan is vital however, it has to be a plan that suits you! For help with study learning journey plans, revision plans and life coaching goal plans which should all include work life balance methods please do get in touch.
Keep consistent in all you do and remember this is not a race but a marathon!
